Dancing Queen

There is something primal about dancing, I love it! When I was young the greatest joy (and escape) that I had was to go to anywhere there was music and just get lost in the rhythm and the swirling lights. I was totally in the moment. I now get that feeling of being absolutely absorbed to the point where time has no meaning when I paint. I actually listen to music while I am doing this, and when a song comes on that I love, I will stop painting and have a dance. This painting seeks to capture that feeling.
